Reliable pharmaceutical logistics at our sites for the highest product quality

Because of their great sensitivity, pharmaceutical products and medical technology require special care. As an experienced partner in pharmaceutical logistics, we guarantee compliance with the strict GDP (Good Distribution Practice) guidelines that ensure the quality, safety and efficacy of your products. Our comprehensive measures – from precise temperature controls and complete documentation to the careful training of our specialist staff – ensure that your products receive the best protection at every stage of the process and that consumer health is safeguarded.

Continuous temperature monitoring

Temperature-critical pharmaceuticals require precision. Our modern storage facilities are fully temperature-controlled and equipped with automated alarm systems in the event of an emergency. Monthly temperature checks ensure that sensitive products remain within the correct temperature range at all times. This is how we ensure the long-term effectiveness and quality of your goods.

Optimal storage conditions for medicines

Our storage solutions are optimised to meet the special requirements of your pharmaceutical products. This includes having specially equipped areas for different temperature zones to ensure the stability and effectiveness of temperature-sensitive products. We also ensure the proper storage of hazardous substances to guarantee the safety and quality of your products at all times

Individual packaging solutions

The right packaging is crucial for the safe delivery of sensitive goods. That is why we offer specialised packaging solutions optimally tailored to the specific requirements of your pharmaceutical products.

Complete documentation

We attach great importance to the comprehensive and precise documentation of all processes. From goods receipt to delivery, we document every stage. By doing so, we enable complete traceability and guarantee you transparent compliance with all regulations.

Reliable response plans

In the event of unexpected events such as an incident in the cold chain or transport damage, our tried-and-tested response plans come into play. They enable us to ensure product safety and a gap-free supply chain even in exceptional situations.

A qualified team of experts for pharmaceutical products

Our employees are not only technically skilled, but also specially trained in handling pharmaceutical products. They know the legal requirements and implement them with the utmost care – your trust is well placed in us.

The utmost hygiene standards

To effectively prevent contamination, we implement strict hygiene measures in all our storage and transfer areas. Our systems meet the highest hygiene standards and include a comprehensive pest control system against flying insects, vermin, rats and mice. With a total of over 260 traps and regular external inspections carried out six times a year, we ensure that your products reach their destination safely and cleanly.

Effective building security: protection against theft, loss and counterfeiting

Our building security is guaranteed at all times by electronic access control and the presence of an external security guard service. A modern fire alarm and sprinkler system also ensures comprehensive fire protection. Video surveillance and intruder alarm systems offer reliable protection against theft, loss and unauthorised access to your goods – ensuring the complete security of your products.

Compliance with the basic logistical requirements for goods deliveries to SK Pharma Logistics GmbH is a necessary prerequisite to ensure compliance with the GDP guideline and a smooth process.

The main objectives of these requirements are:

  • Compliance with the GDP guideline
  • Ensuring fast availability of goods after delivery
  • Optimisation of costs in the supply chain

Requirements for packaging materials and packaging

  • Delivery of goods exclusively on Euro pallets containing the same items and batches.
  • Please label the pallets with the following information:

Manufacturer, material No. or identity No., pharmacy central number (where available), article description, total quantity in units, batch designation (production date for goods without a batch), order number and dangerous goods information (if applicable). Please note that the supplier is liable for any damage resulting from non-compliance with the statutory provisions.

  • Please label each individual box with the following information:

Manufacturer, material No. or identity No., pharmacy central number (where available), article description, total content of the box in units (Please label residual quantities separately with “residual quantity”; cartons containing data loggers must also be visibly labelled), batch designation (production date for goods without a batch) and dangerous goods information (if applicable). Please note that the supplier is liable for any damage resulting from non-compliance with the statutory provisions.

  • The packaging units must always contain the same quantity of contents (with the exception of residual cartons and residual pallets).
  • Please ensure GDP-compliant delivery of all goods subject to GDP and also deliver all non-GDP-relevant items in clean, odourless trucks.
  • Pallet standard (applies to all deliveries without exception):

All deliveries must be made on undamaged, clean wooden pallets that comply with the ISPM 15 standard.

If disposable pallets are used, sufficient stability must be ensured for storage in pallet racks.

The pallets must not be overpacked.

The ISPM 15 standard includes IPCC and HT labelling

Treatment with methyl bromide and the associated labelling “MB” is not permitted.

Delivery Conditions

  • Deliveries may only be made using suitable and authorised vehicles in perfect technical condition.
  • All deliveries must be made with vehicles that are suitable for ramp unloading.
  • In principle, every consignment must be notified in writing at least 3 working days before delivery. The notification must contain at least the following information:

Manufacturer/supplier designation, client name, carrier, order number (PO number of the client to which the goods receipt posting is to be made) as well as a packing list/delivery note as PDF, planned delivery day including time (not applicable for locations with Cargoclix slot booking). Please note the notification information of the respective location, see ‘Location-specific conditions’.

  • For each delivery, a corresponding number of pallets will be exchanged – the pallet exchange will be noted on the consignment note.
  • The purchase of pallets by SK Pharma is not possible.

Accompanying Documents

Flawless delivery documents are a basic prerequisite for fast and smooth processing of incoming goods deliveries:

  • Consignment note (CMR/forwarding bill of lading)

Carrier, client, name of the consignee, consignment weight, full details of the loading equipment, description of the load

  • Delivery Note

Manufacturer/supplier designation, delivery date, name of the consignee, order number (PO number of the client to which the goods receipt posting is to be made), article number (under which SK manages the goods in the GMS), article description, packaging overview (number of pallets, cartons, total quantities), total quantity in units (article, batch and expiry date)

The delivery note must be attached to the goods in a clearly visible position.

Refusal of Acceptance

SK Pharma will (only after consultation with the client) refuse to accept the goods if there are any irregularities in the delivery, e.g.:

  • A high proportion of damaged goods
  • Deliveries of unpalletised goods
  • Deliveries not notified or not notified on time
  • Goods with a strong odour
